Find B2B leads by describing your customer

Find leads is an AI lead finder for B2B sales: you describe the customer in your own words and pick cities or a country, and it searches several sources, reads each company's website for a phone number and email, and scores every company's fit from 0 to 100 with a one-line reason. Nothing is imported until you pick it.

How smart search works

Most lead databases make you translate your customer into filters: industry codes, headcount bands, job titles. Smart search, the default, starts from a sentence instead.

  1. 1You write who you sell to, or even just what your product does: "We make booking software for independent dental clinics."
  2. 2It rewrites that into the business category your customers use to describe themselves, such as "dental clinic" or "orthodontist".
  3. 3It searches several sources at once: Exa, Apollo.io and the open web.
  4. 4It reads each company's own website to find a phone number and email.
  5. 5It scores each company's fit from 0 to 100 against your product brief and gives a one-line reason.

Choose the source that fits the job

A smart search takes a few minutes, because it reads real websites rather than returning cached rows.

You review before anything is imported

Results wait in a review list. You keep the companies that fit and drop the rest, so your pipeline does not fill with near-misses. The fit score and its reason make the review fast: a 34 with "sells only to hospitals" is an easy skip.

If you want speed over review, you can let leads with confirmed WhatsApp mobile numbers in automatically. Everything else still waits for you.

  • No duplicates. Leads are de-duplicated by phone number across all your products, so the same clinic never gets two first messages from you.
  • Per product. Each lead belongs to a product, scored against that product's brief.
  • Repeat searches. Set a search to run again every 6 hours, 12 hours, daily or weekly to catch new businesses as they appear.

Write a description that finds the right companies

The better your description, the better the fit scores. Name the type of business, the size or setup, and what makes one a good fit. "Independent physiotherapy clinics with two or more practitioners that take online bookings" beats "healthcare".

Not sure who to describe? Run a question through Ask anything first and click Find leads like this on the segment you want. The guide to finding B2B leads with AI and the lead scoring guide for small sales teams go deeper.

What happens next

Picked leads move into lead research, where each gets a profile, talking points and a first message written for that business. From there you can send through a WhatsApp campaign in markets where businesses use it, or use the research to prepare calls and visits.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the leads come from?

Smart search combines Exa, Apollo.io and the open web, then reads each company's own website for a phone number and email. You can also search Apollo.io directly, use plain web search, import a CSV or add leads by hand.

What does the fit score mean?

It is a 0 to 100 score of how well a company matches your product brief, with a one-line reason. It helps you decide what to keep during review; it is not a prediction that the company will buy.

How long does a search take?

A smart search usually takes a few minutes, because it visits company websites to find contact details and check fit.

Will the same company show up twice?

No. Leads are de-duplicated by phone number across every product in your workspace.

Can searches run on a schedule?

Yes. A search can repeat every 6 hours, 12 hours, daily or weekly, and new results wait for review like any other search.
